The Ruanova undershield protects the most exposed area of the car: oil sump, gearbox and front subframe. Because it bolts onto the subframe itself, it also stiffens it and reinforces the wishbone mountings, resulting in sharper and more predictable handling.

100% designed and manufactured in-house from duralumin, formed with multiple folds so that it follows the exact curvature of the Clio 1 1.8 16V (F7P) subframe, and with 8 mounting points for maximum rigidity.

THICKNESS

- 3 mm (2.5 kg) — road and fast road use

- 6 mm (5 kg) — recommended for competition

Essential for competition and highly recommended for lowered road cars.

INSTALLATION

Fitting requires welding the 4 threaded bushings supplied onto the subframe. These are custom made on a CNC lathe. It is a slightly more involved job than a simple bolt-on, but absolutely everything needed is supplied and no part has to be made or modified.
